If you’ve brought a car to Long’s Garage, you’ve probably handed the keys to George. He’s the head mechanic, and he’s been here for more than 25 years.
There isn’t much he hasn’t worked on: daily commuters, fleet vehicles, classic restorations, the muscle car that’s been sitting apart in a garage for years. Whatever rolls in, George and the shop’s other longtime mechanic make sure it rolls back out right, and the regulars ask for George by name.

Long’s Garage is Gordon “Gordy” Long’s. He built the shop, hired the crew, and set the standards it runs on. Gordy races Nostalgia Super Stock at Great Lakes Dragaway, and that love of classic and muscle cars runs through the whole place.
